  • What did man lose when he fell in the garden?

I was asked this question on Sunday by one of our church people.

    My thoughts were this.........

Certainly man lost his innocence and the wonder of living in the garden.

The most devastating thing that he lost, I think was that precious unhindered fellowship with the Father.

Adam walked with God, he shared God's heart, he was able to share his own thoughts and feelings with God just like we can with a friend here.

There was nothing in between him and God, only a wonderful friendship that was so relaxed and easy.

I think that is saddest thing that we lost.  Now we have so much baggage, distractions between us and Him.

True we can have fellowship with God if we take the time to be with Him, but that is not the same as walking and talking with Him face to face.

What are  your thoughts on this subject?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

  • Burden Lifter

Like the beauty of the sunrise,

Like the glory of the sunset,

Like the softness of the breeze,

    Within the gently swaying trees,

    Like the laughing, bubbling brook,

Like a glistening dewdrop on a red, red rose,

Like the sweetness of the tui's song,

Like the still, quiet peace of a blue mountain lake,

Like the tall, stately majesty of a high soaring mountain,

Like the joy that springs from a sweet-tasting fountain,

Such is the love, the comfort and peace,

    and the glorious release,

That comes from our Saviour, Counsellor and Priest.

'Tis only from Him and Him alone,

    That we'll receive total rest,

    and the security of Home.

So my dear friend, when you next feel alone and broken, and in pain,

Look to hyour Saviour, Counsellor and Friend,

For He is waiting dear one, to take all your pain

    And all your sorrow too,

All your sadness and all your cares,

To carry them far, far away,

And to lift your precious Spirit up high once again.

So put your trust in Him,

Lay your burdens at His feet,

Let Him cause you to soar in the highest of heights,

Far above all tha would strive to hold you down,

Be as the eagle, dear friend,

Who refuses to let the fury of the storm keep him low,

    But chooses instead,

To allow that fury to take him higher and higher,

Until he is cruising high above that storm,

Enjoying the freedom of being carried along

By the strength of the wind,

So yo will sense and experience, dear one,

The power and the presence of His precious Spirit,

    Lifting you, leading you on,

Carrying you closer, yet ever closer, to that place

Where your spirit and His become as One.

    All That You Need

Do you hear the Saviour's voice?

    Calling, calling to you.

Do you hear His sweet voice?

Through the deep darkness of your soul.

Do you sense a faraway peace?

As you take time to stop and listen.

Do you long to know that love?

    That precious love,

You can feel in His tender voice.

    Then my precious one,

Let Him into your chaotic, peaceless life,

    Let Him bring order,

    Let Him bring love,

Let Him bring an unending peace,

That in this world you will never find.

Let Him fill that empty place

    With His wonderful, loving Spirit,

For my friend He is the only One

    Who can give you satisfaction

               Healing,

                  Wholeness,

                        Never-ending joy,

A heart so full of love

                 and life,

                   Of happiness,

                        Fullness,

                           And peace.

    A reason for living,

    An everlasting hope,

    All that you need.

    Again I say, dear friend,

Let Him be your All in All,

    Your ever-loving Friend.

    He will never forsake you,

He is ever near to you.

    That

  • There Is a Place

    There is a place,

Where love, joy and peace forever reign.

No matter what may be the circumstance,

No matter what trouble may come your way.

Where you can be at rest,

Where you can have a deep, inner joy,

Where the turbulence of life cannot intrude.

A secret place, a place of solitude,

A quiet place of unfathomable depths,

A place where we can experience the limitless love and peace of God

Where His spirit and our spirit, will be as One.

Seek out and search for dear ones,

    This precious, precious place

Where my heart is waiting to meet with yours He says, in deep and loving tones,

With a gentleness that can come only from Him.

Great depths of wonder and of wisdom,

    Do I find there,

Deep wells of everlasting love and peace and joy.

    Precious, precious ones,

    Seek for this place,

    Search for this place,

Knowing that as you search, and as

               you seek

    You shall

                 surely find...........

For He will never, never let you down,

And He will never ever fail you,

For He is the truest, most loving friend that you will ever find.

    His love goes on forever,

    It will never change ,

It is a joy to behold,

And an even greater joy to possess.

  • Something to Think About

As I look at the things that have been happening in the world of late I can't help thinking about what Jesus said before He left this earth to go back toHis Father in heaven.  He was talking about the signs that would show us that His second coming to this earth was near, even at the door.

Over the past few weeks we have witnessed two earthquakes in China and a devastating cyclone in Burma. Millions of people have been killed and homes and livlihoods have been destroyed.  True many miracles have taken place as well, where people who had been buried for days have been found alive and we thank God for those. The world has also seen tsunamis, terrible floods, devastating accidents in many parts of the world. These are all signs that Jesus will be back very soon.

Israel is a key country to watch. There have been so many efforts to try and bring peace to the Middle East, all have failed. Only Jesus will be able to do that. As time goes on the focus of the world will be more and more in that area.

Is it time for Christians and non-Christians alike to stop and look at what they are doing with their lives? Are we living for the Lord? Are our lives bringing glory to Him, or are we living for ourselves, doing what pleases us?

Are we living in the centre of His purposes for us or not?  These are important questions that we need to ask ourselves, as time is very short. There is not enough time left for us to just do our own thing.  God has a reason and a purpose for every person on this earth and I believe it is important that we find it. Do we know where we stand in the sight of God and how He will see us when we stand before His Judgement Throne?

These are just a few thoughts to think about.

What Will You Do With Jesus Who is Called 'The Christ.'

    Hey World!

    Halt! Stop! and Listen!,

    Open your ears and hear!,

    The cry goes forth!

    The question is asked.......

What will you do with Jesus, who is called 'The Christ'?

    He stands at the door,

    Between time and eternity,

    How will you respond?

    Which road will you take?

    You stand at the crossroads,

    Be'twixt Life and Death,

What will you do, with Jesus, who is called 'The Christ'?

    Time draws to an end,

    Eternity begins,

Where will you stand when time ends and Eternity begins,

What will you do, with Jesus, who is called 'The Christ'?

His call has gone out, His voice has been heard,

    Time to stop and think,

What will you do with Jesus, who is called 'The Christ'?

Down through the corridors of time,

Echoes the call, one more time,

What will you do, wth Jesus, who is called 'The Christ'?

    The echo slowly dies,

    The door finally closes,

    Time ends,

    Eternity begins,

What did you do with Jesus, who is called

    'The Christ'?

    Taken from Matt.27:22.

  •  I went to Vision Australia yesterday to work on the front desk.  It was a better experience than the first time which was last week.  Last week I also went to the radio side of Vision.  I really loved that, I was given a chance to read a couple of articles on air.  It was great. I'm going again on Friday to do the 1pm to 2pm program.  We read from the Sunraysia Daily at that time. I'm looking forward to it.  I have to do two  more times of buddying with someone, and then I will be on my own with someone else.  They usually have two readers and a tech person.

    It's great fun.

Today, Tuesday, I am home all day I hope unless God has other ideas.  I have to do some housework and then tomorrow I need to be in town by 8:30am to get the car serviced.  That will take two hours, so I will stay at a friends and wait for it. After picking it up I will do my shopping.

We have to look after two of the boys on Saturday for Cara, as she, Brett and Caitlin will be celebrating  their 10th wedding anniversery. They will stay overnight and we will take them to church on Sunday with us and they will be picked up after the R.C.F. service is finished.

Went  to Home Group last night, had a good study on Colossians 2. We had a potluck tea, then the study.

It was a good night. These pictures are of the front garden and Braden's 2nd birthday.

Better do something now.                                                                                                                                                                                    Garden Scene                                Christmas 2006 015

    Bye all.

Addition to pulse. The Gallery was a china painting exhibition. The work was beautiful. This lady has been doing this type of art for many years, plus she also does other wall paintings. Loves gum trees. All her work is lovely. She also has a wonderful garden which she has done over the years.
